The Shaw VersaLock Do It Yourself Laminate flooring Installation Kit is for Shaw VersaLock Glueless Laminate flooring installations.

The Shaw Installation Kit Includes:

30 Spacers:

Spacers are 1/4" wide at their widest Point, so by placing two or more spacers together it is possible to adjust the amount of expansion space by simply adding another spacer. One spacer will provide 3/16" expansion space, Two spacers placed in opposition will make a 1/4" expansion space, three spacers have "serrated" edges that lock them into the correct position once a board is placed against them.

1 Rasp or Wood File:

In areas such as a doorjamb or cabinet kick base where planks cannot be angled to lock into place, use the rasp or wood file tool to remove (file down) the locking ridge from the bottom of the plank groove.

1 Bottle of Shaw tongue and Groove adhesive:

Apply a 1/8" bead of Shaw Tongue and groove adhesive to the bottom groove area where you removed the locking ridge, and gently tap the plank into place using a pull bar and hammer. Secure this plank in place using painter's masking tape. Using a clean, soft cloth, carefully clean any excess adhesive from the surface of the planks.
